Restauration

, avril 2012: I was in Oxford for the 2012 Oxford Literary Festival's events, so the location of my accommodation was comfortably perfect to attend the events I had planned to go to. My room was in the attic, nice and lovely, but a little claustrophobic given the low ceiling, the narrow windows were lovely though, but the tiny very low shower cubicle was a bit of a nuisance as I wasn't actually able to raise my arms when in there. Overall, I had a lovely view of the back quad, good cooked breakfast (which, I would have liked it better if warmer, though), a hugely convenient and beautiful location and definitely an enjoyable stay. Also, I must remark the kindness and great helpfulness of the Porters at the Lodge, and especially of one who deserves a special mention and thank you, that is the chivalrous and thoughtful porter with moustache. Maria Luisa Migliaccio

, avril 2012: It was a most enjoyable stay, the porters were particularly helpful and friendly, and Queen`s was elegant, serene and dignified. I would highly recommend it, just as long as you don`t mind walking out onto the High St and in the main entrance of the college to get breakfast!

, avril 2012: I shall almost certainly book again for the same time next year, and show my husband some of the things I enjoyed most about Oxford. It was wonderful to stay in Queen's, and think about all the generations of students who'd preceded me.

, mars 2012: Stayed in the Queen's College while using the libraries in Oxford and I loved it. Great location, lovely staff and an amazing experience to stay in such beautiful buildings. Looking forward to using this service again.

, mars 2012: A very nice stay. Very Harry-Potter-esque! :)

, septembre 2011: Friendly welcome, nice room, unfortunately breakfast not available on this occasion (but wasn't expecting it)

, septembre 2011: friendly porter staff, great location! easy booking process!

, septembre 2011: I didn't have breakfast, so cannot comment on that, but was very pleased with the facilities. Many thanks.

, septembre 2011: I was very pleased with the room and the ease of booking. The only specific comment about the room I have is that I could have used a few more coat hangers in the wardrobe - there was only one.

, septembre 2011: The Porter was so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay. Hopefully, we will be able to return next year.

, août 2011: I enjoyed my stay very much. The Porter's introduction was the highlight.

, août 2011: The rooms are a little basic for the price charged and I really don't know how your male students survive with such a small wash bowl!!! The porters at the lodge, both on arrival and departure, were very pleasant and helpful.

, juillet 2011: -Very friendly staff -Fantastic setting -Enjoyable Breakfast

, juillet 2011: Staff were very pleasant and helpful and room was just what we needed! Thank you, Dr Baker

, juillet 2011: great rooms

, avril 2011: Would ask for a room not overlooking main street as very noisy over-looking bus stops. However easy access meant we could come and go at any time.

, avril 2011: Staff courteous,and helpful.Everything was fine.

, avril 2011: the stay at The Queen's College was exactly what we needed.thanks

, septembre 2010: Excellent stay - thank you

, septembre 2010: Location, value for money were outstanding. Most importantly, the helpfulness of the lodge staff was by far what made my stay the most enjoyable.

, septembre 2010: Rooms were austere but had exactly the feel we were expecting and nice views of edmund hall. porters were extremely helpful and friendly. Cav Davidson

, septembre 2010: I stayed in the 'new' wing which was located in another building away from the college itself. That's the only 'setback' otherwise it was fine.

, septembre 2010: Very comfortable but a hairdryer would be handy. We will use your services again. No need to leave the fridge on during student holiday !

, septembre 2010: clean comfortable room-the only useful addition would be a mirror. Thank you a good experience would definitely use again

, septembre 2010: Especially the porter was very kind and helpful. The room in the annex-building was good and quiete. The breakfast at the high-table was also exciting. I can recommend to stay at Queens.

, août 2010: The main disadvantage was that the room was in a separate building away from the main college. The room also had a bathroom with a minute wash basin and was so small that it was difficult to move around in it.

, août 2010: Would have preferred to have stayed in one of the older courts, even if the room was of a lower standard. Would have liked staying in a 'traditional' student room more than the comforts of a more modern room.

, août 2010: A reading light on the bedside table would have been appreciated. I was happy to be in the annex since it had a lift but it wasn't the historic room experience that I thought I would have. Breakfast was superb.

, août 2010: The porters at Queen's were incredibly helpful and that really added value to the experience.

, août 2010: It was a fine experience. All the college staff were very helpful and pleasant, particularly the porters. The college was interesting aid comfortable.

, juillet 2010: The rooms were very nice but rather noisy so the windows had to be closed on a very hot night. Perhaps you should say that Oxford is a city that never sleeps! However the service and staff were all excellent.

, avril 2010: It was a wonderful way to experience Oxford. We stayed in a prime location in a magnificent listed building. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.

, avril 2010: We had other reasons for visiting Oxford, but our stay in Queens was the highlight.

, mars 2010: Enjoyable Stay; Immaculate modern room.

, février 2010: I heartily recommend Queen's College accommodation. Great website too

, février 2010: We had a wonderful time, especially as the room overlooked the street. What a wonderful town. I do think it's a bit expensive for the standard of room, which was nice but basic. I would consider staying again even at that price. Jill

, septembre 2009: It was a great experience staying at Queens College. I wish I had more time there. I do plan to return in the future.

, septembre 2009: Queen's College was a very enjoyable experience, being centrally located. All staff I encountered from the Porter's Lodge to service staff were very polite and helpful - a credit to the college. The total experience was very enjoyable and one I should be delighted to repeat.

, août 2009: The full English breakfast in the beautiful old college dining hall made for a pleasant start to each day. The porters and scouts were very sweet and helpful. Oxford is a dream city; I will miss it very much.

, juillet 2009: Excellent overnight stay. Standard of rooms in QLQ very good. The only slight drawback was the location of Room 42 overlooking the High which made it very noisy at night, but this was a relatively minor problem. Porters were extremely welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.

, juillet 2009: An excellent palce to stay

, juillet 2009: Enjoyed my brief stay at your quaint college. I experienced wonderful service from Robert when I arrived on Saturday and same excellent service when I left on Sunday. Aloha and mahalo to all.

, juillet 2009: It was a very comfortable stay. The lighting in the room was excellent and the peace & quiet most welcome.

, octobre 2008: I was very pleased with the help of everyone. John the Porter and Colleen very helpful to rearrange a room closer to the bus stop. Lots of food and the kitchen staff were great. Lovely college and will consider using the facilites again. Isabelle Simmons

, septembre 2008: Excellent experience. Enjoyed staying in the college. Particularly appreciated helpfulness of the porter who was on duty the evening of 17 SEPT and again on morning of 19 SEPT; he was extremely welcoming and hospitable. Thank you for a memorable stay.

, septembre 2008: Thank you so much for the hospitality at the rooms of the Queens College. It has been a great time to be there enjoying such facilities right at the heart of the University of Oxford. The attention of your staff and all services were just excellent. I was just delighted by this experience. On the other hand, it was just perfect and suitable my staying there, in conexion with my research work at Queens, since I am doing a Postdoctorate in Music under the supervision of Dr. Owen Rees, so, work and comfort were match at its best. Thank you very much and hope to come back soon.

, septembre 2008: Absolutely fantastic experience. College buildings and grounds are stunning. Full marks to all staff especially the cooks and gardeners. I would certainly book again and recommend this to anyone else

, septembre 2008: I had a very pleasant stay, thank you, and seemed to have the Florey building to myself! I did not attend breakfast unfortunately due to my research commitments at the Bodleain, but found everything very clear. The only improvement to the room for short stays would be a kitchen wipe (re the kettle) and teatowel to dry cups. The porters at the main college site were most pleasant and helpful. I look forward to another visit in the near future.

, septembre 2008: The refurbished rooms in Queen's Lane were very good value, particularly at the reduced rate I payed as a former student at Queen's

, septembre 2008: Very good. Many thanks.

, septembre 2008: I'd organised a reunion for 7 university friends from 40+ years ago. We were all impressed by the comfort and spaciousness of the rooms, the courtesy of the porters and scouts and the opportunity of staying in such an historic college. We'll be booking again in two years time! The college is ideally placed for all the city's many attractions and transport services. The information provided about domestic matters, sights to see and the history of the college was helpful and interesting.

, septembre 2008: My friend and i really enjoyed out stay at the college it was an interesting experience. We were very impressed with the jolly attitude of the freindly porters on saturday afternoon and sunday, they really tried to accommodate out needs - thankyou! we will recomment it.

, septembre 2008: the room was spotlessly clean and spacious. staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it was a wonderful experience staying in this historic college. extremely convenient for all that oxford had to offer.

, août 2008: Really enjoyed my stay - location, atmosphere, ease of booking and welcome. The breakfast was very good. The shower is really small (but glad to have one). Thank you, I will book again next time I come to England.

, août 2008: Room was very basic (no TV!) but very clean and provided great insight into life as a student at Oxford uni. Porters on duty were very friendly and went out their way to help with any problems.

, août 2008: This was an "over the top" experience for us. Our rooms were in a small cottage in the Nun's Garden. Our breakfast was in the hisoric dining hall. the only reason I checked "good" rather than "excellent" for the standard of room is that this was student housing and a typical hotel. this stay will be a real hightlight of our 4 months in England. Thanks to all who make it possible

, août 2008: I was very impressed with the quality of accommodation. The location was excellent. The porter was extremely helpful.

, août 2008: The friendliness of all staff was very welcome, the standard of the room was far, far higher than in my undergraduate days (in the 1950s), and breakfast was exemplary. All in all, a very acceptable experience and better than some 'boutique' hotels of our acquaintance.

, août 2008: I could move in tomorrow. Loved my room on the High. A lovely experience for all my family who stayed.

, août 2008: I really enjoyed my stay in the centre of Oxford, My room was comfortable and breakfast in the college was great, only problem: I had a fridge next to my bed which was very noisy and kept me awake!

, juillet 2008: The room was very good. You could provide larger instructions about timings for meals. We had an envelope with a very small note which we didn't really notice - we only just got to breakfast on time. This sort of detail should be made much more apparent - both in the information and in the room as we could have missed it altogether. Other than that it was good - the room was clean and the beds comfortable.

, juillet 2008: Tea and coffee facilities were a little scant- only 3 tea bags and 3 little tiny pots of milk. Also the kettle didn't fit under the tap for filling. Otherwise excellent.

, avril 2008: It was an experience of a lifetime to stay in an Oxford college quad.

, avril 2008: Apart from the glorious buildings and landscaping, the staff of the college at which I stayed (Queens) left the most oustanding impression on me. Everyone with whom I was in contact, whether by e-mail, telephone, or in personal exchanges at the college, was exceedingly helpful, friendly, and nice. My thanks to all of them.

, avril 2008: very friendly and helpful staff fantasatic surrounding very conveniently located stayed in QLQ bathroom- modern clean but incredibly small even for an average sized chap like myself cheers

, avril 2008: My recent stay at Queen's College, Oxford, was excellent. The location was perfect and convenient to everything I wanted to see and do. My room in Queen's Lane Quad was very comfortable and clean as well as very quiet for an excellent night's rest. The scouts were especially kind and helpful. Not only was the value for the money exceptionally good, but the accommodations were much nicer than I had anticipated. Thank you!
